Willow Weaving Day

Great Moor Primary, Stockport

It was a joy to facilitate year 1s willow sculpting Day at Great Moor Infants. They had been learning all about trees and plants so we had a go at being creative with our bendy friend willow!

It was tricky bending and weaving the willow to hold our fish body in shape but weaving the wool to create colourful fish of all shapes and sizes was great fun. Super teamwork to help each other and lots of perseverance shown to create our willow fish.

One child commented “this is the most epic day ever!”. I’ll take that feedback as job done!!
